The questionnaire is a harmonised set of questions designed to simplify environmental performance reporting on:

• Energy Usage
• Waste Management
• Water Consumption

This optional and non-exhaustive questionnaire helps reduce duplication of efforts, ease the reporting process for suppliers across energy, water, and waste, and drive more meaningful, data-informed decision-making. It reflects an industry-wide effort to streamline reporting practices and foster continuous improvement—delivering benefits for brands, suppliers, and the industry as a whole.

The questionnaire has been tested with a diverse group of 74 suppliers in Italy (including finished product manufacturers, tanneries, textile and yarn manufacturers and accessories manufacturers) and has been shared with the main industry stakeholders. By adopting this template, brands and suppliers can accelerate progress toward a more sustainable, low-carbon future.

The questionnaire will be updated regularly by a technical committee, to ensure it is up to date with the latest regulations and best practices.

The more brands that adopt this optional questionnaire, the greater the impact – reducing the administrative burden of sustainability reporting on suppliers, making it easier for the supply chain to report their environmental impact, implement effective actions and accelerate the decarbonisation of the industry.
